'US government, not Iran responsible for Middle East disasters'

Richard Becker, a commentator with ANSWER Coalition, believes that the US government is to blame for tearing apart the fabric of the Middle East, warning that Washington is ultimately responsible for the "tragic consequences" of its intervention in the region.

He referred to the general attitude adopted by top officials in the US government -- including remarks made by Secretary of Defense James Mattis and echoed by President Donald Trump himself -- suggesting that “everywhere you look and see trouble in the region, you see the hand of Iran.”

Dismissing the suggestion as “ridiculous,” Becker said statements as such could be taken as “a kind of projection, because really everywhere you see disaster in the region, you see the hand of the United States and its allies."
