Republicans are targeting Georgia Democratic House candidate Jon Ossoff over his support for Iran nuclear deal.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released a second ad against Ossoff Wednesday, arguing that he is “too risky.”

“Ossoff supports their dangerous Iran nuclear deal,” the ad says, repeating the Republicans’ traditional claims that Iran sponsors terrorism.

GOP has been a staunch opponent of the Iran nuclear deal as it was negotiated under Democratic President Barack Obama, despite the Republican Party’s opposition.

“Not only did Jon Ossoff (pictured above) lie about his national security experience, he and Nancy Pelosi support policies that would make our country less safe,” said NRCC spokesman Matt Gorman, according to the Hill. “Jon Ossoff is a risk Georgians shouldn’t have to take.”

Ossoff has said he would oppose any attempts to disrupt implementation of the nuclear deal, reached between Tehran and the world powers, including the US, in July 2015.

According to his campaign website, “In Congress, Jon will push strongly for strict enforcement and uncompromising monitoring of Iran’s compliance with obligations to restrict uranium enrichment.”

Ossoff will confront Republican Karen Handel in a June 20 runoff to fill the House seat vacated by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.
