Top Pakistani political figures have held a meeting in the capital Islamabad to demand the government resolve the crisis in Indian-controlled Kashmir and take a firm stance against New Delhi. The region has been at the center of a bitter territorial dispute since India and Pakistan became independent in 1947. New Delhi and Islamabad both claim the region in full, but rule half of it each.
