Reports coming out of the UK suggest that the leader of the opposition Labour Party will demand to be made a Privy Counsellor.
According to The Telegraph, Jeremy Corbyn needs the membership to receive intelligence briefings about any important security issues.
Corbyn has not formally asked to become a member of the Council so far.
According to the Labour leader’s office, Corbyn will expect to be made a member of the Privy Council if the Tory government tries to force a vote on British military action in Syria next month.

As a lifelong republican, he is said to have reservations about kneeling in front of the Queen to swear allegiance.
Last week, he missed an induction into the Privy Council by the Queen to go on a walking holiday in the Scottish Highlands.
He has been accused of “snubbing” the monarch by passing up the chance to kneel before the Queen and swear his oath of allegiance to her.
Conservative MP Michael Ellis has slammed the far-left leader for causing a “constitutional drama” by refusing request to attend last week’s meeting of the Privy Council.
Meanwhile, Jeremey Corbyn has been stripped of his "Right Honourable" title after he failed to attend the first meeting of the Privy Council.
