Israel Somaliland recognition

The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement has strongly condemned Israel’s recognition of Somaliland as an aggressive step and part of the regime’s conspiracies against Islamic nations. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said Israel is trying to establish a foothold in Somalia to target the entire region. He added that the move is aimed at fragmenting regional countries, and will not remain limited to Somalia, as its main goal is to change West Asia. Houthi stressed that Israel’s move must be confronted by all regional nations in every way possible. He emphasized that, as an illegitimate occupying regime, Israel is in no position to recognize the legitimacy of others. Houthi said Israel seeks to use Somaliland for hostile activities against Somalia, African countries, and Yemen, and threatens the security of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. He stressed that Yemen's armed forces will consider any Israeli presence in Somaliland a military target, as it constitutes aggression against Somalia and Yemen, and a threat to the security of the region. Houthi urged all countries in the Red Sea region to take practical measures to prevent the regime from violating the sovereignty of Somalia, and all other Muslim and independent countries.

Israeli crimes in Gaza

Health officials in Gaza have issued a stark warning about a significant rise in miscarriage cases alongside a sharp decrease in new births compared to last year. According to Gaza’s health ministry, the number of monthly births has declined by 40 percent, mainly due to harsh living conditions faced by pregnant women. The ministry also reported a significant rise in miscarriage cases among Palestinian women. It noted that low-birth-weight newborns have become widespread in Gaza, due to maternal malnutrition and the Israeli blockade on vital nutritional supplements. The ministry said Israeli forces have deliberately targeted fertility centers, destroying nitrogen storage and nearly four thousand fertilized embryos. It added that targeting the reproductive health of Gazans is part of the regime's genocidal war against the territory, which has been raging since October 2023, with full support of the US and some European countries.

Russia-Ukraine conflict

Following their meeting in Florida, presidents of Ukraine and the United States have announced ‘major progress’ in talks aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. During the presser that followed the meeting, Zelensky stressed that territorial issues remain a major point of contention between Kiev and Moscow, as the two sides hold different positions on this issue. Zelensky said he was prepared to hold a referendum on any elements of Trump’s 20-point peace plan. Trump, for his part, hoped to finalize the deal soon. He said the talks have been largely successful, though a few issues remain unresolved. Prior to the talks, Trump held a phone call with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. The two leaders called on Ukraine to take urgent steps toward ending the war. They also rejected a joint Ukrainian-European proposal for a temporary ceasefire, arguing that it would only prolong the conflict and lead to resumption of hostilities.
