A 14-year-old Texan boy has been indicted for first degree murder after his mother was found dead.
A day after Nita Moseley’s body was found in her Texas home on Saturday, her 14-year-old son disappeared but was later apprehended and charged with murder.
Police said when neighbors found her body, the family’s 2014 Nissan Maxima was missing as well. On Sunday, the car and the teenager were both located in Houston.
The teen was taken to the La Marque Police Department, where he was interviewed and charged.
According to neighbors, the mother and the son had a good relationship as also showed the photos posted by the teen on Facebook and Instagram.
"She did any and everything for her son, and for him not to be there, it is a little disturbing," said a man living next door.
Police believed the kid had acted on his own in the alleged homicide.
Moseley was said to be four months pregnant. An autopsy has been set for Tuesday.
