Abdullatif al-Washali began working in the media field as a presenter in several radio stations in Yemen in the beginning of 2017. He was one of the founders of the Yemeni Ministry of Defense Radio, which started broadcasting in early 2018. Al-Washali worked there as an announcer and the director of the news desk until September 2020. He has been presenting and hosting many local TV programs ever since. Al-Washali is also a voiceover artist and trainer.

His work as a field correspondent started in January 2019, a field reporter for the Iraqi channel INEWS HD. He has produced numerous documentaries and series about Yemenis martyred in the war with the Saudi-led coalition. He started working as a reporter for Press TV in October 2020. His reports vary between political and humanitarian issues, focusing on the repercussions of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.

Al-Washali holds a Bachelor's degree in International Business Administration from the University of Modern Sciences in Sana'a.
