Mubarak Henia is a Kenyan journalist and public relations practitioner with 20 years of experience in news and analysis. Before moving to Iran he worked as a public relations officer in Kenya and edited several magazines including The Guide. He moved to IRIB World Service Swahili Radio in Tehran as a writer and presenter for leading social and political programs.
He conducted interviews with senior African officials including former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga, the current Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta during his stint as a deputy prime minister, and other senior government officials in Africa.
Over the years, he provided incisive analysis on African affairs on various Iranian TV networks including Al-Alam, Press TV and French Sahar TV. Currently Henia is a presenter and writer for Press TV’s Africa Today program which provides an in-depth look at news and events taking place in Africa.
