US attack on Sirik

Iran has condemned in the strongest terms U-S attack on a wedding party in the southern city of Sirik, which left scores of civilians, including women and children, dead and wounded. Iran's deputy UN ambassador made the remarks in a letter to the UN chief and the president of the Security Council. Gholam-Hossein Darzi said the heinous and horrific crime of targeting and killing civilians is a gross violation of international humanitarian law and constitutes a war crime. He added that in response to this crime, Iranian armed forces exercised their inherent right to self-defense by conducting proportionate attacks on US military bases in the region that were used to attack the Iranian territory. He stressed that the US and other states abetting its crimes are responsible for the grave consequences of such international illegal actions. Darzi urged the UN and Security Council to condemn US attack on Iranian civilians as a war crime and blatant violation of international law, and force Washington to pay reparation for all damages. He stressed that Iran will take all necessary measures to protect its people, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and will respond decisively to any act of military aggression.

Iran in control of Hormuz 

Iran has once again warned that all vessels violating the country’s protocols for transit through the Strait of Hormuz will face restrictions on future passages, including fines, detention, or confiscation. The announcement was made by the Persian Gulf Strait Authority as it updated the list of vessels not complying with Iran's Hormuz passage protocols. It added that any vessel cooperating with listed vessels via ship-to-ship, trans-shipment, or other methods, will be added to the list of non-compliant vessels. The authority noted that all vessels that want to be removed from the list, must submit a formal application with justifications. It advised all cargo owners shipping goods to or from the Persian Gulf to review the Non-Compliant Vessels list before chartering a ship in order to avoid potential issues. Iran has frequently warned that it will not tolerate any disruption to its sovereignty over the strategic waterway, saying traffic in the Hormuz Strait will not return to normal unless the US ends the war and blockade on the country.

Israel crimes in West Bank 

More Palestinians have been killed in fresh violent raids by Israeli forces and settlers on towns and villages across the occupied West Bank. According to local sources, two Palestinian youths were killed in an attack by Israeli forces and settlers on the town of al-Mughayyir, north of Ramallah. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said the two Palestinians, both 19 years old, were shot with live ammunition. One of them was shot in the neck and the other in the back. They were declared dead after being transported to hospital. Witnesses said the new fatalities came after Israeli settlers, protected by the regime’s forces, attacked two homes at the center of the village near the Grand Mosque. During the raid, Israeli snipers took positions on buildings in the center of the village. When locals attempted to confront the settlers, who stole their sheep, the snipers opened live fire at Palestinians, critically wounding the two youths, who later succumbed to their injuries.
