Iran armed forces retaliation

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says it has carried out fresh waves of retaliatory strikes on US military assets in the region, under an operation dubbed Nasr-two. In a statement, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force conducted the fifteenth wave of the operation, targeting the Al-Udeid US air base in Qatar. The statement added that the attack resulted in the complete destruction of a long-range radar system and a number of refueling aircraft. Earlier, in the fourteenth wave of the operation, the IRGC targeted American fighter jets and aerial refueling aircraft stationed in Jordan. It said several ballistic missiles and numerous drones were launched in the two-stage attack. In a separate wave, the IRGC targeted and destroyed the maritime surveillance radar on the Salamah Rocks and the American air-control radar in the Ghanam area, both located in Oman. That followed a retaliatory strike targeting US military installations in Kuwait.

Yemenis mass rallies

Tens of thousands of Yemenis have taken to the streets in the northern city of Sa’ada to protest against Saudi Arabia’s recent attack on an airport in Yemen. Chanting anti-US and anti-Saudi slogans, the demonstrators called for an end to acts of aggression against Yemen. The rally was held under the banner "Friday of Warning and Mobilization”. The mass protest comes several days after Saudi Arabia bombed Sana’a airport. Meanwhile, the Supreme Political Council of Yemen has announced that its response to Saudi Arabia's recent aggression will be direct and in line with the deterrence equations announced by Yemen's Ansarullah leader. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi has warned that the movement will target Saudi Arabia's oil facilities and other infrastructure if conflict escalates between the two sides.

Israeli settlements are all illegal

The United Nations has reiterated that all Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, including East al-Quds, are illegal under international law. UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said in a press conference that Secretary-General António Guterres is deeply concerned over Israel’s decision to grant city status to the Israeli settlement of Givat Ze'ev in the occupied West Bank. Dujarric added that the move does not change the territory's legal status and that it will remain as part of the occupied Palestinian territory under international law. The UN chief has repeatedly said that Israel's settlement expansion in the occupied Palestinian territories fuels tensions, restricts Palestinian access to land, and threatens the viability of a sovereign Palestinian state.
