Al-Houthi: Iran's victory over US, Israel is Islamic Ummah's victory

Yemen's Ansarullah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi

Yemen's Ansarullah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi has warned that the US-Israeli aggression against Iran was aimed at overthrowing its system and partitioning the country, asserting that Iran's victory in confronting this assault represents a victory for the entire Islamic nation.

In a televised speech on Thursday, al-Houthi said the targeting of the Islamic Republic falls squarely within the broader Zionist plan to reshape West Asia and establish a "Greater Israel," cautioning that had the conspiracy against Tehran succeeded, it would have paved the way for targeting the region's people without exception, starting with Syria.

"They wanted to silence Iran," he said, "but Iran's victory was a victory for the entire nation and for all the peoples of our region."

The Ansarullah leader also stressed that Hezbollah's positions and Iran's support for it should be appreciated and utilized by the Lebanese state, and affirmed that the Axis of Resistance will not abandon its support for the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon nor cease providing it with necessary assistance.

Al-Houthi further slammed the United States, Israel and their allies for seeking to exploit humanity to serve "satanic objectives" and said they constitute "the main source of evil threatening global stability."

"We are now confronting the most oppressive oppressors in history, from the Zionist regime to its supporters," he said, describing the Islamic world as confronting "the most tyrannical oppressors in history."

He said US and Israeli policies continue to undermine international stability through wars and the exploitation of nations' resources, citing Palestine and other regional conflicts.

"The Zionist project is behind all the wars in our region, based on the scenario of changing the Middle East to establish 'Greater Israel.'"

The term "Greater Israel" has resurfaced in Israeli political discourse in recent years. In August last year, prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Israeli media he felt a deep connection to "this vision," referring to Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories as well as parts of Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, and described it as "a historical and spiritual mission." The remarks drew strong condemnation from several regional countries.

Israel militarily occupied the Sinai Peninsula following the 1967 Six-Day War, before returning it as part of the disgraceful Egypt–Israel peace treaty.

The Zionist regime occupied the West Bank and East al-Quds from Jordan in 1967. Recently, Israel has moved beyond the internationally monitored buffer zone to establish new positions in southern Syria, including the strategically important Jabal al-Shaikh area which Israel calls Mount Hermon, as part of its regional expansion.

In Lebanon, Israel has established a buffer zone inside its territory and launched airstrikes that have affected nearly one-fifth of the country, leading to the displacement of over one million people.

Al-Houthi also slammed "international Zionism" for placing a deceptive "soft war" at the center of its campaign against Islamic identity, adding that its aim is to strip people of their innate human values and subject them intellectually.

He condemned Zionism for attempts to subjugate nations, plunder resources and occupy territories, while saying that the United States and Israel are responsible for mass killings and destruction in Gaza and across the region.

He noted that Washington and Israel are simultaneously employing military and non-military means in an effort to dominate the Islamic world and destabilize global security.

"The United States, Israel and their allies are the main center of evil, crime, insecurity and threats to international stability," he further said.

The Ansarullah leader stated that the United States, Israel and their allies do not respect international agreements or United Nations resolutions.

He highlighted this by noting that the US continues to blatantly violate the understanding with the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating that "the Americans are just like the Israelis, who completely disregard agreements, break their promises, and renege on their clear and declared commitments."

Referring to recent Saudi strikes on Sanaa airport, al-Houthi said the Saudi-led campaign against Yemen has continued for years without legal justification and was carried out in loyalty to the United States and Israel.
