Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for Muslim "unity and steadfastness against disbelief and injustice" as the key to opening the gates of divine victory as he congratulated Muslims around the world on the holy occasion of Eid al-Adha.
In a message issued on Tuesday on the eve of Eid al-Adha, Pezeshkian said that Iran always extends a hand of brotherhood and unity toward Islamic countries, although it never hesitates to safeguard its territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
"In today's turbulent world, where the fire of oppression, occupation, and the greed of the arrogant powers of the age has been ignited, Eid al-Adha is a message of dignity, freedom, and refusing to fear the Pharaohs of the era," he said.
The Iranian president said that Eid al-Adha has assumed a special meaning for the Iranian nation this year as the country continues to proudly resist US-Israeli aggression.
"At a point in history when our beloved homeland stands against oppressive sanctions, assaults, and hardships, the meaning of Eid al-Adha is embodied in the steadfast spirit of the families of the martyrs, in the resilience of the courageous warriors, and in the unparalleled patience and solidarity of this nation," Pezeshkian said in his message.
The US-Israeli aggression on Iran began in late February and came to a halt in early April as part of a ceasefire brokered by Pakistan and other regional countries.
Iran has continued to firmly counter the sporadic violations of the truce by the United States while it has refused to accept a deal aimed at permanently ending the aggression that imposes maximalist demands and conditions put forth by the White House.
Analysts say Iran's brave resistance against US-Israeli aggression has created a sense of pride among Muslims and has revived anti-colonial sentiments among people in Muslim countries.
