Condemning EU’s anti-Iran move

The Iranian foreign minister has expressed confidence that a deal with the United States can be achieved over Iran's nuclear program. Abbas Araghchi, however, warned that if talks fail, the country is ready for any scenario, including war. In a social media post, Araghchi said a fair and equitable deal on Iran’s nuclear program is within reach. He added that such a mutually beneficial agreement could be achieved even in a short period of time. Iran's top diplomat emphasized that Iran and the US are at a fateful moment. Araghchi, however, asserted that in case of any miscalculation and even aggression by the other side, Iran is well prepared to defend itself. His post came after an earlier interview with CNN, in which Araghchi said exchange of messages through friendly countries in the region is ongoing to facilitate productive talks with the US. He stressed that Tehran expects the lifting of sanctions, as well as respect for its right to continue peaceful nuclear enrichment in any deal. He also urged the US not to miss the opportunity to reach a fair and equitable nuclear agreement.

Yemen supporting Iran

Yemen’s Ansarullah movement has issued a stern warning against any military attack on Iran or Yemen. Ansarullah’s senior official said repercussions of such aggression would extend beyond borders, affecting all parties without exception. Mohammed al-Farah stressed that if Zionist follies, backed by hypocritical forces in the region, were to ignite a conflict, its consequences would not be confined to a single party, but would be widespread and far-reaching. He added that the Zionist entity, the US, and traitors in the region will gain nothing from their aggressive policies, and will only suffer heavy political, military, and economic losses. Similarly, the Association of Yemeni Scholars announced its full support and solidarity with Iran. It urged scholars across the Muslim world not to remain silent and adopt a clear stance in support of Iran. Yemen’s pledge of support comes amid rising tensions between Tehran and Washington following threats by US President Donald Trump to use military force if a deal on Iran's nuclear program is not reached.

Reopening of Rafah crossing

Preparations are underway for the reopening of Gaza’s main border crossing after almost two years under a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Israel has said it will open the Rafah crossing in a limited pilot phase. It will reportedly operate for six hours a day and allow the exit of only 150 people, with 50 individuals allowed to enter the besieged territory from Egypt. Ambulances are lined up at the Egyptian side of the crossing as thousands of sick and injured Palestinians are waiting to leave Gaza for urgent medical care. The reopening of the crossing is part of the second phase of the US-brokered ceasefire. Before the war, the crossing was the only direct exit point for most Palestinians in Gaza to reach the outside world. It has been largely closed since Israel seized it on May 20-24.
