More Gazans killed
The Israeli regime has attacked yet another hospital in the Gaza Strip, as the genocide against the Palestinians in war-ravaged territory rages. The Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza was heavily damaged after Israeli forces denoted explosive-laden robots around the facility. That was accompanied by intense gunfire targeting the hospital's buildings. The Palestinian Health Ministry says the Israeli army has issued a forced evacuation order for the hospital. The ministry called on the international community to protect Gaza’s collapsing health system and uphold international humanitarian law. Meanwhile, Israeli strikes hit the al-Bureij refugee camp and Gaza City’s Shujaiyya neighborhood, killing 23 people. A Palestinian journalist was confirmed dead in an airstrike, bringing the number of journalists killed in the war to 221. Over 60 people were killed in today’s attacks in Gaza. The death toll in Gaza since October 2023 has topped 54,200.
Gaza ceasefire plan
The Israeli opposition leader has called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept a ceasefire framework mediated by the United States. In a post on X, Yair Lapid assured Netanyahu of his political support even in the face of potential backlash from hardliners within the cabinet. This after Hamas announced reaching an agreement with US. envoy Steve Witkoff on a general framework for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. That would include a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and unhindered entry of humanitarian aid. Witkoff appeared alongside Donald Trump in the Oval Office, confirming he has drafted a new term sheet for the president’s approval.
"Israel sinister schemes"
The leader of Yemen's Ansarullah movement says Israel's incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque aim to Judaize the holy site amid the silence of Muslim states. Sayyid Abdul Malik al-Houthi says the Israeli settlers’ holding of rituals in the courtyards of the Al -Aqsa Mosque is an attempt to obscure the identity of the Islamic site. He also criticized Arab and Muslim nations for betraying Islam and contributing to Israeli crimes in Gaza. The Yemeni leader described Israel's new aid distribution plan as a deceptive tactic designed to engineer starvation, and force the Palestinians into cramped spaces for minimal food. Al-Houthi reaffirmed Yemen's steadfast support for Gaza and vowed that the country will not stop military operations against Israel.
