Israel Lebanon attacks

The Israeli regime has carried out fresh attacks on southern Lebanon, killing four and injuring nearly a dozen. The town of Tulin in the Nabatieh district was targeted as well as other areas across the south. The attack followed the Israeli military’s claim that three rockets had crossed into the occupied territories and were intercepted. The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has denied any connection to the rocket launches, emphasizing that the claims are part of Israel’s pretext to continue its aggressions against Lebanon. The group also reiterated its commitment to the ceasefire agreement. These events come after nearly 1,100 Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, including the deaths of at least 85 Lebanese civilians and over 280 injuries. Lebanon has warned against Israeli military operations along its southern borders, with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam voicing concern about the danger of being dragged into a new war.

Gaza genocide

Israel continues its deadly strikes on Gaza after the regime shredded a ceasefire agreement with Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas. One of the latest attacks hit a building in Gaza City, leaving several children dead. In northern Gaza, Israeli drones and artillery fire killed at least three people and wounded several others. Drone fire also hit a tent camp housing displaced people in the north, killing two people. The attacks follow a surge in violence after Israel unilaterally ditched its ceasefire deal with Hamas. The new round of attacks has led to nearly 640 Palestinian deaths in five days, including 200 children. The total death toll has risen to nearly 490,750.

Turkey protests

The number of arrested protesters in Turkey after three nights of demonstrations over the detention of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoglu has surpassed 340. Turkey’s interior ministry says the arrests were made in several cities across the country including Istanbul and Ankara. It warned that those who seek to sow chaos and provocation will not be tolerated. Imamoglu appeared before police for questioning on terror-related charges on Saturday, a day after his interrogation over corruption allegations. The mayor, who is a popular opposition figure and seen as a top challenger to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was detained on Wednesday following a dawn raid on his residence over allegations of financial crimes and links to Kurdish militants.
