Gaza truce talks
Hamas says negotiations on the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, or extending the first phase will be carried out based on the resistance's demands and the red lines it has set. Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif Al-Qanou said the movement is open to new ideas that would help overcome Israel’s obstruction of the agreement and ensure the regime’s commitment to its terms. He stressed that what guarantees the release of the remaining Israeli captives is the end of the onslaught on Gaza, withdrawal of Israeli forces, and beginning of Gaza’s reconstruction. Qanou had earlier stated that Israel's failure to fully implement the first phase of the agreement by releasing the seventh batch of Palestinian abductees proves the regime is not serious about the truce. He added that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not care about the captives, and obstructs implementation of the agreement to serve his personal interests.
Israel West Bank aggression
An international human rights organization has raised a serious alarm over Israel’s systematic destruction of Palestinian camps and forced displacements in the occupied West Bank. Euro-Med Monitor says the regime’s actions constitute a dangerous chapter in the Nakba of the Palestinian people. Euro-Med added that deployment of tanks and heavy military vehicles around Palestinian camps is aimed at imposing the regime’s military control over the northern West Bank. It said Israel seeks to impose a new status quo in the West Bank, as a new step toward annexing the entire territory. Euro-med stressed that Israel’s impunity at international level over the past decades, and the global silence on the regime’s genocide in Gaza have encouraged it to expand the aggression against the West Bank. It cited a recent announcement by Israel’s Minister of Military Affairs, who said the regime is planning to displace around 40,000 Palestinian from Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams refugee camps, and make them unlivable. Euro-med called on the international community to pressure Israel to end its military aggression in the northern West Bank, and halt its policy of destruction and displacement against Palestinians.
