Israel West Bank attacks

Israeli forces have launched an attack on the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank killing several Palestinians. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, 35 Palestinians have been injured. Israeli drones bombed a vehicle and Apache helicopters fired into the skies of the camp. Earlier, Israeli settlers attacked several towns and villages in the West Bank, leaving over 20 Palestinians injured. Witnesses said settlers set fire to Palestinian-owned vehicles and buildings. Regime forces also set up military checkpoints and closed roads, preventing Palestinians from entering or leaving several areas. Over 800 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israeli attacks since the regime began its genocidal campaign in Gaza in October 2023.

Sanctions removal talks

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs says Tehran is ready to resume negotiations with European parties regarding the lifting of sanctions. Kazem Gharibabadi told reporters Tehran will adopt a proportionate approach if other sides opt for different policies. The deputy minister said discussions regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, JCPOA, will continue. This, as Oman’s ambassador to Egypt has expressed his country’s readiness to once again act as a mediator in negotiations concerning Iran's nuclear program. Oman has already played a mediating role which led to an agreement between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany in 2015.

Russia-Ukraine war

US president Donald Trump is pushing for NATO spending hike while claiming he can put an end to the Ukraine war. The new U.S. President claims he can stop the Russia-Ukraine war within 24 hours, yet he urged NATO members to increase military spending by 5%. Trump says the U.S. has already spent $200 billion on the conflict. He also stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready for a peace deal. Meanwhile, airstrikes from both sides continue, and Moscow says it's received no proposals from Washington. The contradiction between Trump’s calls for peace and demand for more military funding has questioned his approach to the conflict.
