US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

Another Israeli massacre in the besieged Gaza Strip. At least 37 Palestinians have been killed in a strike on a house in the northern town of Jabalia. Women and over a dozen children were among those killed. The resistance movement, Hamas, says the attack is part of the regime’s ethnic cleansing policy against Palestinians, particularly in northern Gaza. The area has been under intense Israeli attacks and siege since early October. Israeli forces also attacked other areas in the strip, including Gaza City and Khan Younis. At least 20 Palestinians were killed. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide has now risen to over 43,600. That includes at least 188 journalists and media workers. The UN’s Palestinian aid agency says Israel has also been weaponizing hunger in the Palestinian territory. UNRWA chief, Philippe Lazzarini, says famine is now likely taking place in northern Gaza.

Israli airstrike on Lebanon

Israel’s air and artillery strikes cause more deaths and destruction in Lebanon as the regime presses ahead with its aggression against the country. Lebanon’s Health Ministry reports that at least three paramedics were killed in an airstrike on a center operated by the Islamic Health Authority in Sidon district. The ministry condemned the attack, calling it a war crime. Another major strike targeted a home sheltering displaced people in the Jbeil District, killing at least 23 civilians, including 3 children. Israeli fighter jets also struck a house in the eastern city of Baalbek, causing casualties. These incidents bring the death toll from the strikes since October last year to 3,136, with nearly 14,000 people injured.

Crackdown on pro-Palestine rally

Police in the Netherlands attack pro-Palestinian protesters in Amsterdam, arresting dozens of them. Demonstrators gathered in the city’s Dam Square, holding placards and chanting pro-Palestine slogans. Police in riot gear and face masks moved in, surrounding, beating, and arresting protesters. The rally followed an Amsterdam court ruling upholding the mayor’s decision to ban protests in the city, three days after violent clashes erupted between Israeli football fans and a group of local youth. Protesters voiced anger over what they described as the mischaracterization of the violence as anti-Semitic. Several activist groups, including student organizations, and anti-racism groups, as well as Dutch human rights activists, participated in the demonstration.
