Palestine says Israeli regime pushing Palestinians in northern Gaza to ‘certain death’

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has slammed the Israeli regime for pushing the Palestinians in northern Gaza to their "certain death" amid Tel Aviv's continued genocidal campaign against Gazans.

“The occupation army is forcing residents of northern Gaza to either flee under bombardment or face killing, in what resembles a circle of certain death,” the Palestinian Foreign Ministry warned on Sunday in a statement.

The intensified Israeli attacks take place amid a complete siege on the area by the occupying forces armed with US weapons and ammunition.

"Genocide is unfolding in northern Gaza in its clearest form, in full view of the world, marked by siege, starvation, forced displacement, destruction of buildings, aerial bombardment, targeting of health centers, and mass killings,” the ministry added.

The ministry said the failure of the international community to stop this “war of extermination has emboldened Israel to continue its deadly campaign.”

International humanitarian groups have confirmed that the Israeli onslaught has displaced almost the entire population of Gaza amid an ongoing blockade that has led to severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine.

Since October 5, 2024, the Israeli regime forces in the northern parts of the Gaza Strip have intensified the genocidal war.

Observers on the ground have documented multitudes of Israeli attacks, including shelling, airstrikes and bombing campaigns that have destroyed remaining homes, shelters, infrastructure and streets across northern Gaza for the last 16 consecutive days, forcing over 400,000 people in the northern Gaza Valley to accept "certain death” either in the bombings or by starvation.

The Israeli regime already faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its past actions in Gaza.

However, experts say the international community must recognize the exacerbated condition in northern Gaza, declaring it an emergency disaster situation requiring urgent action and an immediate and proportionate response.

The world, particularly Arabs and Muslims must mount pressure on the Israeli regime and its main backer, the United States, to halt the genocidal war on Gaza and allow the provision of life-saving aid and humanitarian relief, according to Hamas officials.
