Iranian military launched hundreds of long-range ballistic missiles on Tuesday at the occupied Palestinian territories with at least 90 percent of them hitting the intended targets.

The operation came in response to the assassinations of top resistance leaders, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah of Hezbollah, Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas and Abbas Nilforoushan of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC).

In a statement, IRGC said 90 percent of missiles hit the targets, including three military sites near Tel Aviv. There were no reports of killings or injuries to settlers.

However, footage circulating online showed panic-stricken settlers hiding in underground shelters as missiles rained across the occupied Palestinian territories.

People immediately took to social media to hail Iran’s retaliation to Israeli assassinations as well as the ongoing genocidal war on Gaza that has claimed close to 41,700 lives since October last year.

A user named Partisan Girl, in a sarcastic remark, said Netanyahu must be heading back to Poland following the bombardment of Iranian missiles, as he actually comes from Poland.

“Netanyahu lifted off out of Israel abandoning his people to Iran’s ballistic missiles. Is he heading back to Poland? Will his people join him,” she wrote.

Seamus Malek shared a video that showed Iranian missiles pounding targets in the occupied territories.

“This is apparently a video from Nevatim Airbase. This was an area that was struck in April by Iran,” he wrote, referring to the Israeli military base that houses F-35 fighter jets.

“The IDF was quick to release videos showing how limited the damage was then and how few missiles got through. Look at how many impacts there are tonight,” he wrote.

Mick Wallace, former European parliamentarian, slammed European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrel who “condemned” Iran’s retaliatory military operation against the Zionist entity.

“Stop your 'like-minded partner' #Israel slaughtering civilians wherever it feels like it before you lecture #Iran or anyone else. The #EU is dripping with Hypocrisy,” he wrote.

Borrel said the “dangerous cycle of attacks and retaliation risks to spiraling out of control”, calling for an “immediate ceasefire across the region.”

US-based journalist Max Blumenthal said the Israeli regime rulers cannot play victims.

“No species can transform more rapidly from a gloating, ogre-like sadist to a whimpering, whining performative victim than a Zionist,” he wrote in a tweet.

Jake Shield said he is against war but the regime in Tel Aviv “deserved to be bombed.”

“I never like to see war but in my lifetime nobody has deserved to be bombed as much as Israel,” he wrote, lauding the Iranian operation.

British analyst Batool Subeiti said tonight’s operation is “a lesson” to all those who doubted the words of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

“Response means... a response. Moment of reflection needed here,” she stated.

British activist Sarah Wilkinson shared a video of a gas rig in the occupied city of Ashkelon that was hit by one of the Iranian missiles.

“The entire gas rig in front of the shores of Ashkelon is ablaze as a result of a direct hit from Iran’s missiles — read before Israeli media gags the news,” she wrote.

Alon Mizrahi said he did the maths and found that Iran fired three missiles at the occupied Palestinian territories “for every standing ovation Netanyahu got in US Congress.”

“If you really love him, that's definitely worth it,” he wrote.

Qasim Rashid called out the hypocrisy of the US government.

“As Israel bombed & invaded Lebanon & killed more than 1000 civilians the WH defended it as “De-escalation through escalation,” even writing a press release praising Netanyahu,” he wrote.

“Now as Iran fires 120 missiles at Israel does WH stand by that absurd slogan? What a complete failure.”

A user named Geroman said the difference between Iran and Israel is that Iran targets military sites, not human beings.

“Iran using 400 missiles and did not target civilians - Israel kills and wounds 100s of civilians with one strike. Iran has the most moral army in the world,” he wrote.

Journalist Glenn Greenwald said the Israeli regime killed more Palestinians in Gaza today that Iranian missiles killed Israeli settlers.

“That, needless to say, does not stop Little Lindsey from advocating yet another US war, this one with Iran,” he wrote.
