US-Israeli Gaza genocide

The US-Israeli genocide in Gaza claims more Palestinian lives as the regime’s relentless air and artillery strikes pound various areas across the blockaded territory. In one of the latest attacks, an Israeli drone targeted a gathering of citizens in al-Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, killing three citizens. Several Palestinians, including a child, died in an airstrike on a home in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Israeli airstrikes left a number of people dead in the southern city of Khan Yunis, including five displaced Gazans. Nearly a dozen Palestinians were killed, and many others injured in the regime’s air raids in Rafah. Overall, nearly 70 Palestinians were killed in Israel’s attacks in a matter of 24 hours. The regime’s genocide has claimed the lives of over 40,600 Palestinians and injured nearly 94,000 others so far. Hunger, malnutrition and lack of medical supplies are also taking their toll on Gaza's population.

Israel evacuation orders

A senior UN aid official says repeated evacuation orders issued by the Israeli regime in Gaza defy the requirements of international humanitarian law. Joyce Msuya told the UN Security Council that over eighty-eight percent of Gaza's territory has come under the regime's evacuation orders at some point. She added that the people of Gaza are now in a state of limbo and being forced into an area equivalent to just eleven percent of the territory. She also criticized the international community’s silence on Israel's crimes. Msuya said what happened over the past eleven months calls into question the world's commitment to the international legal order. She warned that civilians in Gaza are hungry, thirsty, sick, and homeless, and have been pushed beyond what any human being should bear. The UN official also called for more international pressure on Israel and a sustained ceasefire in Gaza.

Israel West Bank incursion

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees has expressed grave concern about the humanitarian situation in the West Bank following Israel’s new bloody incursion into the occupied Palestinian territory. UNRWA said frequent Israeli incursions into refugee camps have directly affected not only refugees, but also its ability to provide services to over 400,000 people. The agency added that it has been compelled to halt its services in several refugee camps, which have been affected by Israeli aggression. It called on Israeli authorities to comply with international law, and avoid targeting civilians and the inviolability of its premises and facilities. UNRWA, however, stressed that it will remain committed to providing all services to the extent allowed by the security situation on the ground.
