US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

Israel’s relentless airstrikes and artillery fire continue to take more Palestinian lives across the besieged Gaza Strip more than 10 months into the regime’s genocidal war. In one of the latest attacks, at least eleven civilians were killed and several others injured in an airstrike targeting a Palestinian home in Beit Lahia, in northern Gaza. In central Gaza, an Israeli air raid on a residential building left at least four people dead. Earlier, the regime’s warplanes struck a UN run school in Gaza City, killing several civilians. In the south of Gaza, Israeli air raids east of Khan Yunis, claimed the lives of more than 20 Palestinians, including women and children. The regime has issued new evacuation orders in several areas across Gaza, including Deir al-Balah. The Israeli genocide, which began early last October, has so far killed more than 40,200 Palestinians and injured nearly 93,000.

US role in Gaza genocide

A group of US doctors, who recently returned from Gaza, have revealed horrific dimensions of the ongoing Israeli genocide in a press conference. This is pediatrician Dr. Ahmad Yousaf. The doctors said Israel’s strikes have devastated Gaza, calling on President Joe Biden’s administration to immediately impose an arms embargo on the regime. They added that the US is directly contributing to the genocide that is taking place in the besieged territory. The doctors said if Washington does not impose an immediate arms embargo on Israel, it will “continue to be its accomplice in the crime.” The US has been Israel's strongest supplier of arms, providing three-point-eight billion-dollars in military aid to the regime per year. The Biden administration recently approved twenty-six-billion-dollars in addition to the wartime assistance, which was approved in April.

Hezbollah retaliation

Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement has carried out new operations, targeting Israeli military positions in the occupied territories. Hezbollah said the attacks hit Israel’s Al-Raheb site and the Shtula settlement in northern occupied Palestine, and the Tsnobar base in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. The movement added that its rockets also hit the Katsrin settlement, destroying a house and injuring an Israeli settler. The new operations followed the Israeli assassination of a member of the Palestinian Fatah Movement in southern Lebanon. Khalil al-Mekdah lost his life after an Israeli missile hit his vehicle in the Lebanese city of Sidon. Hezbollah says its operations are in support of the Palestinian cause and a direct response to the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, which has intensified since the onset of the regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.
