Palestinian resistance movements have expressed gratitude towards their fellow Lebanese fighters for standing with them in the ongoing battle against the Israeli regime, encouraging continuation of the struggle until complete victory in the face of the regime.
The movements expressed the remarks in a message published by al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Gaza Strip-based resistance movement of the Islamic Jihad, on Tuesday.
“For more than 10 months, we have witnessed your fight, your patience, and your sacrifices of the dearest things you possess in confronting this enemy that fears facing you,” the groups said.
The comments concerned the numerous retaliatory strikes that Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement has been staging against sensitive targets lying in the southern parts of the occupied Palestinian territories in support of Gaza, which has been enduring a genocidal Israeli war since October 7 last year.
The groups noted that the regime had fallen short of achieving the goals that it has been seeking to realize through the war on Gaza, including defeating the Palestinian resistance there.
“This foolish, defeated enemy [has been] mired in the quagmire of Gaza,” they said.
“[It] begs its leadership every day to escape and survive the blows of our fighters and their ambushes,” they added, echoing Israeli officials’ own admissions that the regime was paying a heavy price as a result of the resistance’s defensive operations.
The Palestinian movements, meanwhile, lauded other retaliatory operations that were being conducted against the occupied territories by the Iraqi and Yemeni resistance groups. They hailed the latter for “inscribing the most profound meanings of loyalty to Palestine and its cause in the Islamic and Arab history with blood and gunpowder.”
The groups considered the current juncture, which was witnessing such level of cooperation among the members of the regional Axis of Resistance, to be a “critical moment in the history of the nation.”
“Today, dear fighting heroes, the time has come to…work for the eradication of Israel from existence,” they said, citing remarks made by Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in which he had described the regime as “weaker than a spider’s web.”
“Victory is near, and we have seen it through the blessed efforts of our glorious fighters in our steadfast Gaza and our heroic [occupied] West Bank,” they added.
“So, patience until victory, and the full liberation of beloved Palestine and its sanctities.”
