Gaza humanitarian crisis

At least a dozen Gazans, including women and children have been killed in an Israeli airstrike which targeted a school sheltering displaced people. A Palestinian journalist, working on a story about displaced Gazans, was also killed in the attack. The school sheltered Palestinians from different parts of the Gaza Strip. In central Gaza, at least eight Palestinians were killed in an air raid on a market in the city of Deir al-Balah. Another Israeli airstrike killed a mother and her five children in the Bureij refugee camp. A drone attack on the southern city of Khan Yunis also left several Palestinians dead. In a statement, Hamas held the US accountable for the killings, stressing that the Israeli attacks are only possible with its political and military support. Since last October, Israel’s genocidal war has claimed the lives of nearly 40,200 and injured nearly 93,000 others.

Israeli captives in Gaza

The military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has published a video showing Israeli captives calling for their release. The video was released after the captives were killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza. It shows Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promising their release, and stressing that he will facilitate the return of all captives held in Gaza. He says Israel has been working since the beginning of the war to return all the captives home. This as many of the Israeli captives have been killed in regime’s strikes in Gaza. Hamas’ video concludes with a verse from the Holy Qur'an, which says, Satan makes promises to his followers, but whatever he promises is merely a delusion.

Palestinian abductees plight

Twenty-Five Palestinian abductees from Gaza were released from Israeli jails on Tuesday. Now, they are revealing the extent of torture, abuse and maltreatment they have endured during their detention period. The abductees were released through the Karam Abu-Salem crossing in the southern Gaza Strip. They were then taken to the Gaza European Hospital for treatment. The medical sources say they were subjected to severe torture, continuous beatings and electric shocks while handcuffed and blindfolded. Nearly 10,000 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli jails. About 3,400 of them are held under the so-called administrative detention, which allows the regime to keep Palestinians behind bars for an indefinite period without trial or charges.
