US-Israeli Gaza genocide

The US-Israeli genocide in Gaza continues unabated as more air and artillery strikes pound residential areas across the coastal territory. Five civilians were killed, and 15 others injured in the Israeli bombing of a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Elsewhere in central Gaza, Israeli warplanes struck a residential building in Deir al-Balah, killing seven civilians, including a mother and her six children. To the south of Gaza, two Palestinians were killed, and several others injured after an Israeli reconnaissance plane targeted a group of people in the Al-Shakoush area, near the city of Rafah. An unknown number of people were also killed in the regime’s artillery strikes across Gaza. The Israeli genocidal campaign has already claimed the lives of more than 40,000 people. Hunger, malnutrition and lack of medical supplies are also taking their toll on the Palestinian population.

Israel war on schools

Israel’s incessant attacks on Gaza have destroyed over 90-percent of schools, pushing the education system in the Palestinian territory on the brink of collapse. Gaza’s Minister of Education and Higher Education says the remaining schools have become shelters for the displaced. Amjad Barham added, educational facilities run by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees are NOT safe from Israeli attacks either. Barham said 80-percent of universities have been destroyed since October the 7th as well. According to the minister, 9,500 students have fallen victim to the Israeli aggression against Gaza. Barham noted that the occupying Israeli regime wants to destroy the future of Gaza’s children.

Hamas on Gaza ceasefire

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas says the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is fully responsible for the failure to achieve a ceasefire deal in Gaza. In a statement, the group said Netanyahu is placing obstacles to reaching an agreement, and is setting new conditions and demands. Hamas stressed the Israeli prime minister aims to thwart the mediators’ efforts and prolong the war. It added that Netanyahu refuses to accept a permanent ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of the regime’s forces from Gaza. Hamas said Netanyahu also set new conditions regarding a prisoner exchange deal, preventing the conclusion of an agreement. The movement once again reaffirmed its commitment to the agreement reached in July, calling on the mediators to pressure Israel to implement the terms.
