Retaliating Haniyeh assassination 

Iran's acting foreign minister told the OIC meeting that Tehran has no option but to use its right of legitimate defense in the face of Israel’s aggressions. Ali Bagheri Kani said this is necessary to deter further violations by the regime amid the UN Security Council's inaction. Bagheri Kani also told the OIC meeting that the organization faces a serious test in the face of Israel’s horrific crimes against Palestinians and its attacks on other countries in the region. The minister said the organization's response to this situation must be comprehensive and decisive to protect the Palestinian nation and the collective interests of the Islamic Ummah.

US-Israeli Gaza genocide 

More Palestinians are falling victim to the ongoing genocide in Gaza as Israeli forces continue to pound the blockaded territory with more air and artillery strikes. In one of the latest strikes, Israeli warplanes bombed a Palestinian house in Gaza City, killing at least three people, including a child. To the southern Gaza, six civilians were killed after Israeli jets targeted a tent sheltering internally displaced people in a town east of Khan Yunis. Also in Khan Yunis, three people were killed in the Israeli bombing of their home east of the city. Schools and other public places are not exempted from the attacks. The office of the UN human rights chief says Israeli strikes have hit at least 17 schools housing the displaced people just in the last month, killing over 160 Palestinians, including women and children. Nearly 39,700 civilians have been killed and more than 91,600 others wounded since the onset of the genocide early last October.

Israel war of starvation 

The European Union, France and the UK have condemned an extremist Israeli minister’s remarks who suggested it’s QUOTE justified and moral to starve two million Gazans.The EU described the deliberate starvation of civilians as a war crime, urging the Israeli regime to distance itself from Bezalel Smotrich's remarks. The bloc said the Israeli minister’s remarks demonstrated, once again, his contempt for international law and for basic principles of humanity. France expressed deep dismay at Smotrich's "scandalous remarks", stressing that providing humanitarian aid to Gaza is an obligation for Israel under international humanitarian law. The UK also reacted by saying there can be no justification for Smotrich's remarks, calling on the regime to retract and condemn them. Speaking at a recent conference, Smotrich said it was okay to starve Palestinians to secure the release of Israeli captives in Gaza. The regime has launched a war of starvation on Gaza, extremely limiting the flow of aid into the territory while constantly bombarding it.
