Hamas leader laid to rest

Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh has been laid to rest in Qatar after he was assassinated by Israel in the Iranian capital Tehran. Haniyeh was buried in the city of Lusail, north of Doha. That came after thousands, including high-ranking regional representatives, attended a funeral prayer at the largest mosque in the Qatari capital. Earlier, another large funeral procession was held for Haniyeh in the Iranian capital, with a prayer service led by the leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. Haniyeh was assassinated in his accommodation in northern Tehran in the early hours of Wednesday. He was in Iran for the inauguration ceremony of President Masoud Pezeshkian.

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

At least six Palestinians have been killed in the latest Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. The attacks hit residential buildings in the southern city of Khan Yunis, and two refugee camps in central Gaza. Many more were injured as a result. Nearly 39,500 Palestinians have been killed since Israel unleashed its war in early October. More than 91,000 others have been injured.
Meanwhile, Palestinian resistance fighters have launched attacks against Israeli forces in a Gaza City neighborhood. They used mortars, rocket-propelled grenades, and small arms against Israeli forces. At least 330 Israeli soldiers have already been killed since the regime began its ground offensive in Gaza in mid-October.

Yemen stands with Palestine

Yemenis have once again poured onto the streets in yet another Friday of nationwide rallies in support of the Palestinians in war-ravaged Gaza. The demonstrations were held in different cities including Sa’ada and the capital Sana’a. The protesters have expressed their strong outrage over Israel’s assassination of Hamas political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, holding his pictures during the rallies. They called on the resistance forces in the region to take firm action in retaliation. The Yemeni protesters also denounced Israel and its main supporter, the US, for the continuing genocide in Gaza. Yemenis have been holding pro-Palestine rallies almost every Friday since the war on Gaza broke out in early October last year.
