Leader hails election race

The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution has hailed televised debates among presidential candidates of the June 28 election, calling on them to avoid campaign remarks that delight Iran's enemies. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was pointing to statements that hopefuls make during TV debates and roundtables. The leader applauded the programs, noting that they can help voters get to know the candidates’ viewpoints. Ayatollah Khamenei made the comments in a meeting with the country’s judicial officials. The leader urged the Judiciary to administer justice courageously and with no consideration. He added that the public should notice that justice is served and rights are preserved by the Judiciary.

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

At least 40 Palestinians are killed and dozens of others injured in an Israeli airstrike on tents in a humanitarian zone for the displaced near Gaza’s southern city of Rafah. The Israeli shelling on Friday targeted the al-Mawasi area, which had been designated a humanitarian safe zone. On the ground, Israeli tanks rolled deeper into western Rafah. Other parts of Gaza were also rocked by more air raids and artillery fire on Friday. The attacks claimed the lives of at least 45 other Palestinians. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocidal war since October 7th has topped 37,400, most of them women and children. Thousands of others are either missing or trapped under the rubble of bombed-out buildings.

Resistance resilience

The Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas, has announced the killing of two Israeli troopers in its latest attacks against the regime forces in the Gaza Strip. Hamas said the two soldiers were killed in the resistance attacks on an Israeli military base and its troops and vehicles east of the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City. Hamas also released a video footage showing its forces attacking Israeli military equipment and vehicles. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement also said its fighters fired a surface-to-air missile at an Israeli helicopter evacuating Israeli casualties from Rafah on Friday. The Israeli military admits it has lost more than 300 troops since the start of the ground incursion into the besieged territory, but Palestinians say the regime is under-reporting its losses.
