Gaza: Pain and despair

The World Health Organisation has summed up the situation in Gaza as "fear, hunger, despair, pain, and death." Can there now be any doubt about the Tel Aviv regime's genocidal intentions?

As carnage and destruction intensify, Israeli occupation forces have raided the besieged Nasser Hospital in the south of Gaza. With medical staff arrested, the hospital out of service, and Israeli snipers nearby, the regime continues to ignore the international community's opposition to a ground offensive in Rafah were more than 1.5 million people are sheltering; all desperate for aid, food and hope.

The UN humanitarian chief has warned that the planned assault on the city could lead to a slaughter. The voices raised in opposition are, of course, loud. Chief among them is the Arab group at the UN that has reiterated its position on the potential escalation in Rafah, calling on the UN Security Council to play its part. But if Israelis didn't listen when the International Court of Justice gave its interim ruling, is there any chance of them listening now?
