The Gaza Ministry of Education says more than 4,890 students have been killed in Israeli attacks that have not even spared classrooms, teachers or students in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that over 8,500 students were also injured in the regime’s bombardment of Gaza.

The number of students who were killed in the occupied West Bank has also reached 44. More than 280 students were also injured.

According to the figures, 239 teachers and administrators were killed and 836 were injured in Gaza.

The ministry said at least 620,000 students have been deprived of education since the regime launched its war on the coastal territory on October 7, 2023.

The ministry said the Israeli military has bombed and vandalized 286 government schools and 65 schools affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza.

The violence has destroyed 7 of the schools and severely damaged 83 others.

In the West Bank, 49 schools were stormed and vandalized; seven of them were destroyed.

Four months into Israel’s war on Gaza, all schools have been shut and no university has survived across the territory.

The war has so far killed at least 27,585 Palestinians in Gaza, according to the health ministry.
