US-Israel genocide

Israeli airstrikes and shelling continue to hammer Gaza, leaving more fatalities in the besieged strip. The regime’s fresh attacks killed two people and injured a number of others in the central city of Deir al-Balah. Israeli warplanes also rained down bombs on a residential building in the southern city of Khan Yunis. As a result, 18 dead bodies were brought to European Hospital. The Israeli genocidal war on Gaza is now in its 92nd day. The total death toll now stands at over 22,600, most of them women and children. According to a European NGO, more than 90,000 people are now dead, wounded or missing in the Palestinian territory. That makes up around 4 percent of the total population of Gaza. The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor also says, Israel’s recurring attacks have led to the destruction of almost 70 percent of Gaza’s civilian facilities and infrastructure.

Revenge for Arouri

Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement says it has targeted an Israeli military base with rockets, in reprisal for the regime’s assassination of a top Hamas official in Beirut. Hezbollah said it fired 62 rockets toward the Meron air control base located in the northern part of the occupied Palestinian territories. The resistance movement added that the strike was part of an initial response to the killing of Saleh al-Arouri, who was assassinated in an Israeli drone strike on Tuesday. Following Hezbollah’s missile launches, warning sirens sounded in over 90 Israeli settlements in Galilee and Golan. That’s according to Israeli media reports. Since October 7, Hezbollah and the Israeli military have been exchanging fires, targeting areas bordering southern Lebanon.

Resistance retaliation

Reports coming out of Iraq say resistance forces have carried out yet another operation against U-S forces in Syria. Iraq’s Islamic Resistance said it carried out a drone strike, targeting America’s al-Tanf and al-Shadadi bases in Syria. There are no reports of possible damage or casualties. Resistance groups have carried out a series of attacks against US bases in Iraq and Syria over the past weeks in response to Washington’s support for the Israeli genocide in Gaza. On Wednesday, US forces in Iraq also hit the headquarters of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units, killing a senior commander of the resistance movement in Baghdad. Anti-US sentiment remains high in Iraq. Baghdad says the government is seeking to permanently end the presence of the US-led military coalition in the country. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani says the government plans to set up a committee to arrange the ouster of US forces.
