US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
Israel has launched new airstrikes on the Gaza Strip with the genocidal war in its seventy-second day. At least 19 Palestinians were killed after Israeli warplanes bombed a residential building in Jabaliya Balad in northern Gaza Strip. The attack left 100 others injured. A dozen others were also killed in Israeli strikes on the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. Air raids also targeted the cities of Khan Yunis and Rafah in the south. The death toll among Palestinians in Gaza is now near 19-thousand with more than 50-thousand injured. The territory also remains under a communications blackout. Israel's bombardment of Gaza has left much of the territory in ruins, with the UN estimating that one point-nine million Gazans have been displaced.
‘Bloodbath’ in Shifa hospital
The World Health Organization has voiced grave concern over the condition of the al-Shifa hospital in northern Gaza, which has been devastated by Israeli bombardments. The WHO described the emergency department of the hospital as a bloodbath. In a statement, the world health body said tens of thousands of displaced people are using the hospital building and grounds for shelter, and that there’s a severe shortage of drinking water and food. It added that patients with trauma injuries were being sutured on the floor and that no pain management was available. According to the organization, the hospital is functioning on a minimal scale with very few staff. It said operating rooms are not working due to a lack of oxygen and supplies, adding that al-Shifa is a hospital in need of resuscitation.
Israel West Bank deadly riad
More deadly Israeli violence in the occupied West Bank. Regime forces raid a refugee camp in the northern city of Tulkarm, killing and wounding several people. Palestinian health officials have confirmed at least five deaths in the Israeli raid and drone strikes on Nour Shams refugee camp. Fighting is also underway between local Palestinian residents and Israeli forces in the camp. Also on Sunday, a man, who was wounded during an Israeli raid in Jenin several days earlier, succumbed to his wounds. The deaths raised the number of Palestinians killed by Israel in the occupied West Bank since October 7 to over 290 people.
