Back on November 28, 2019, an American drone strike hit a car returning from a maternity hospital in southeastern Afghanistan. The attack left five people dead, including a woman who had just given birth, three of her relatives and the driver. The Afghan people, especially the relatives of victims, remember the US drone strikes as terrifying and unforgivable.

Human rights advocates stress that such attacks show the reality of the US war on Afghanistan. They criticize the failure of the US to account for civilians victims of its airstrikes.

According to verified reports, throughout the two-decade US occupation of Afghanistan, over 13,000 airstrikes were conducted by American forces in the country.

The US drone war on Afghanistan killed up to 10,000 people, including many women and children.

The Afghan people are still suffering from the wounds inflicted by the US during its occupation of the country. They want justice over the atrocities committed by the American forces on their soil.
