Palestinians have held a funeral procession for a teenager killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli soldiers fatally shot the 18-year-old Palestinian, identified as Musab Mohammad Nafal, near Ramallah on Saturday, November 5, health officials said, the latest in a string of deadly incidents in the territory.
Palestinian Health Ministry said, "Nafal had been critically injured by a live Israeli bullet in the heart," adding that he "was rushed to Palestine Medical Complex in [the city of] Ramallah where he was pronounced dead of his wound."
Another Palestinian, who has not been identified yet, was seriously injured by the Israeli forces during the same incident, it added. The regime's forces, however, refused to hand the second Palestinian over to medical teams for treatment, rather placing him under arrest.
Describing the incident, the Israeli military claimed that the duo were fired at while the regime's forces were dealing with "people throwing rocks at Israeli vehicles."
The Gaza-based Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, issued a statement on Sunday, stressing that the Palestinian martyrs’ blood will be “a curse that haunts the Israeli occupation across Palestine.
The movement added that the Palestinian people will never rest until they avenge their martyrs.
The new fatality came after on Thursday, Israeli forces killed four Palestinians in the West Bank, including a Palestinian fighter with the Gaza Strip-based Islamic Jihad resistance movement.
The Islamic Jihad responded by firing a number of rockets towards the occupied territories that prompted activation of the Israeli regime's Iron Dome anti-missile system.
