Afghan refugees still suffer from discrimination
Following the takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban last year, thousands of Afghan civilians tried to leave their country. But the refugees were denied easy entry to western countries. Compared to Ukrainian refugees, Afghans were forced to leave in squalid conditions for months. The US and its allies have been accused of discriminating against them.
