Hawks top Hornets, move to play-in game with Cavs

The Atlanta Hawks have taken a step closer to reaching the NBA playoffs, by crushing the visiting Charlotte Hornets 132-103, in the Eastern Conference play-in event.

The Hawks who had a 60-52 edge at the break, made their move in the 3rd period to push the gap to a handsome 26 points, which was more than enough to propel them to victory. Atlanta will play at the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night in their bid for a place in the post-season. The winner will claim the East's No. 8 seed, moving on to face the top-seeded Miami Heat in the opening round, of the playoffs.
