There’s endless lamenting and anxiety these days about plastic pollution and how to control it. You’d think it was a new problem. But of course, along with all forms of pollution, the plastic waste challenge has been with us for a long time.

But it was in the 70s that the environmentalist entrepreneur, Doug Rassi, noticed a business opportunity out of this situation and made a pledge to do something about it for future generations. What did he do? He created the so called polywood by using recycled plastic and wood.
