The electric elevator industry in Iran is roughly 80 years old and began when the first oil refinery was built in the southern city of Abadan.
Now, this sector is thriving. Iran has to capacity to produce 80,000 lifts each year, however, annual productions are at 25,000 units due to stagnation in the construction industry.
Meanwhile, the government has initiated several plans and policies to increase exports of these products and services to neighboring regions in order to utilize full production capacities. Watch Bazaar for more information.
