US President Joe Biden has earned a dubious reputation globally for his occasional off-the-cuff remarks, verbal gaffes and Freudian slips, which often land him into troubled waters.
In a latest incident, the ‘gaffe machine’ on Tuesday for the umpteenth time referred to his vice president, Kamala Harris, as “President Harris”, prompting netizens to crack up.
Speaking to students at Atlanta University Center Consortium about voting rights, Biden referred to last year’s US Capitol riot by pro-Trump supporters.
“Last week, President Harris and I stood in the United States Capitol to observe one of those before and after moments in American history," he remarked.
He didn’t appear to have noticed the gaffe and continued his speech without correcting himself, even as the audience were left amused.

It’s not the first time the 79-year old president has said something that he did not intend to.
He referred to Harris as the president even last month during a visit to South Carolina State University.
"Of course, President Harris is a proud Howard [University] alum, she might have something to say about Delaware State,” he said.
Before that, Biden referred to Harris as the president in March 2021 while addressing a press conference to discuss COVID-19 vaccines.
"Now when President Harris and I took a virtual tour of a vaccination center in Arizona not long ago, one of the nurses on that, on that tour injecting people, giving vaccinations, said that each shot was like administering a dose of hope," he said.
In July this year, he mistakenly referred to his previous boss Barack Obama as “President Trump”, which created funny headlines and hashtags across the world.
The latest gaffe has again hit the funny bone of Twitter users, with thousands of tweets directed at the oldest man in American history to hold the office.
Was he ad-libbing, or did some WH flunky write "President Harris" onto the teleprompter script to have a little fun with the dementia patient? https://t.co/PeWW6y36uM
