France recalls ambassadors to US, Australia for "stabbing Paris in the back"

Paris got shocked when it learned through US media that one of its closest allies has secretly signed a deal with Australia to provide it with American nuclear-powered submarines. The secret deal will effectively invalidate a previous $40 billion agreement to supply French-designed conventional diesel-electric submarines to the Australians.
