The uncertainty over the fate of Lionel Messi has finally come to an end, after the 6-time Ballon d’or winner agreed to a two year deal with Paris St-Germain.
Messi headed for France on Tuesday to join PSG on a deal reported to be agreed upon for two years. The deal which includes an option to extend by a year, is said to bring Messi a net salary of about 35 million Euros with add-ons included. The move also gives more fire-power to an already formidable front-line, which includes Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria.
The 34-year-old striker, ended his 21-year-long spell at Camp Nou, as Barcelona were unable to afford a new deal under La Liga's financial fair play rules.
