Poll: 56 percent of Republican voters say Biden won election by fraud

More than half of the Republican voters maintain that US President Joe Biden has won the 2020 election by voter fraud, a new poll shows.

According to the poll carried out by the Hill and HarrisX on June 24-25, fifty-six percent of the Republican voters believe that Biden has been elected as the president of the United States as result of voter fraud. This comes as 25 percent said he won fairly and 19 percent are still unsure.

On the other camp, however, eighty-eight percent of Democrats said Biden has won fairly, while 5 percent said voter fraud and 7 percent said unsure about how the race panned out.

Several months after November 13, the US’s controversial presidential election is still a hot topic in the country’s political arena.

Some supporters of former President Donald Trump have recently warned that there would be a “civil war” if the Republican president is not reinstated “soon.”

Trump and his allies raised concerns after Biden’s victory in November that widespread fraud marred the race, and that the election was rigged by the Washington establishment in favor of Biden, who was certified as the winner in Congress on January 6.

In November, Trump said Biden “won” the presidential election because the vote was "rigged."

Trump has reportedly been pressuring allies in conservative media to reiterate that the election was stolen and suggest he will be reinstated as soon as August.

Trump’s claims of voter fraud played a significant role in inciting the violent protest on January 6, during which thousands of angry protesters stormed the Capitol in a failed attempt to halt Congress’s certification of the election results. The assault left five people dead, including a member of law enforcement.
