Israeli attack at Natanz

An attack on Irans Natanz nuclear enrichment facility. Dubbed by Foreign Minister Javad Zarif as an act of nuclear terrorism, some suspect the move was meant to derail talks underway in Vienna regarding the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal. Israels role was all but confirmed by several reports in Israeli media with an aptly timed visit by the US secretary of defense Lloyd Austin to Netanyahu. Israel and the United States have targeted the Natanz facility in the past using the Stuxnet virus, a joint project between the two countries, as well as several assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists and a blast at Natanz a year before in July 2020.
