Aussie war crimes in Afghanistan

Australia and the United Kingdom have both investigated their elite fighting force, the Special Air Service (SAS) for war crimes in Afghanistan.

The Brereton Report and Operation Northmoor, respectively, found substantial evidence of war crimes; a warrior culture and gang-like initiation rituals known as “blooding”, resulting in dozens of dead Afghan civilians. He also served as a former lawyer and major in the Australian Defence Force.
