Novak Djokovic has survived a scare from Frances Tiafoe to advance to the third round of the Australian Open.

Djokovic, who is bidding for a record-extending 9 title at the event, looked in control after taking the first set 6-3, but the American was up for a fight in the second, stunning the Serbian top-seed in the tie-break.

The duo went toe-to-toe in the third as well, playing another tight tie-break, but this time Djokovic prevailed and made sure the fourth set was the final one.

The world no.1 will next play the winner of Taylor Fritz and Reilly Opelka.
