The US state of Arizona has certified the victory of President-elect Joe Biden.
Arizona joined Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Georgia on Monday to certify the former vice president’s victory, challenged by outgoing President Donald Trump.
"Every Arizona voter has my thanks and should know that they can stand proud that this election was conducted with transparency, accuracy and fairness in accordance with Arizona's laws and elections procedures despite numerous unfounded claims to the contrary," Secretary of State Katie Hobbs said at a signing event.
Today, we signed the canvass for the 2020 election in Arizona. I’m grateful to the voters, the county election offices, the county recorders’ offices, & the poll workers across the state for their dedication to the success of our election system. @SecretaryHobbs @GeneralBrnovich pic.twitter.com/vdjhuQosZd

Biden won the state by a slim majority although Arizona has traditionally trended toward Republicans.

“There are those who are exploiting the emotions of many Trump supporters with fantastic claims, half-truths, misinformation, and frankly, they are misleading the President as well, apparently,”Georgia secretary of state Brad Raffensperger said. “Once this recount is complete, everyone in Georgia will be able to have even more confidence in the results of our elections,” he said, adding that the recount, currently underway in the state, will have finished by a Wednesday night.
