A recent report on Australian forces’ potential war crimes in Afghanistan has provoked reactions from Afghan institutions.
Afghanistan’s human rights commission has condemned the killing of civilians by Australian troops and urged the prosecution of those responsible for the crimes.
Afghanistan’s independent human rights commission has dismissed as an inhuman move the killing of dozens of Afghan civilians by Australian troops.

Based on a recent report released by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, more than 32,000 civilians were killed and around 60,000 others including women and children were injured over the last decade. That is why the UN body also believes it is time to put an end to this human tragedy and misery by struggling to bring peace to the war-ravaged country.
