The ATP Finals has kicked off in London with Rafael Nadal making a good start at the season finale, brushing aside debutant Russian Andrey Rublev in straight sets.
The world no. 2 who is pursuing his first ATP finals title proved too tough a challenge for the Russian, easing to a 6-3 win in the opening set.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion carried on his ruthless performance in the second, especially on his serves, and didn’t face a breakpoint to wrap up the match with a 6-4 in one hour and 18 minutes. Nadal will next take on Dominic Thiem on Tuesday.
