Turkey will use S-400 as stand-alone air defense system

Turkey says it will use the S-400 Russian air defense missile system as stand-alone rather than integrating it into the NATO's defense architecture.
Turkish defense minister said his country will use Russian made S-400 missiles as a stand-alone air defense system.
The minister said Turkey will not integrate the missiles it purchased from Russia into NATO’s defense architecture arguing that Greece has S-300 missiles as other NATO countries still own Russian-made weapons.
The minister’s comments followed testing of S-400 in Sinop, a province on the Black Sea coast. Akar argued that every defense procurement includes tests and system controls. Meanwhile the United states voiced its concern over the testing of the missile system, arguing that Washington and the whole NATO alliance have done whatever they could to prevent Turkey from going on with that Purchase.
The US claims that Russia may use S-400 to collect information on F35 fighter jets which Turkey has been suspended from its co-production after its purchase of the Russian missiles.
Moscow and Ankara signed a deal on S-400 Purchase in 2017 after several trials from Turkey to purchase the American missile System Patriot.
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said earlier that the procurement of the defense materials is a national decision, but that the alliance prefers and encourages the allied countries to strengthen their military with NATO systems.
