The holy city of Mashhad has a new factory that specializes in producing Teflon-coated wires and cables. During the inauguration ceremony, the Iranian defense minister said military and non-military sectors can now count on the company to provide them with the wire, as it can meet all types of demands that they might have.

According to the defense minister, the new factory can produce Teflon wires and cables for use in automotive industries as well. In his words, the defense ministry has attained self-sufficiency in developing different products used for other applications, too.

Teflon is known for its superior thermal properties, which allow these cables to withstand higher temperatures than other varieties of hook-up wire. The high-temperature wire can handle just about everything.

The defense ministry plans to open similar factories in other parts of the country, as Teflon cables are also the ultimate wiring for the oil and gas industries.
